Cardiac POCUS

Goals and Objectives

  1. Obtain the 4 Major Views of the Heart
  2. Evaluate Left Ventricular function
  3. Evaluate for Pericardial Effusion/Tamponade
  4. Evaluate for chamber size (right ventricular strain/PE assessment)
  5. Estimate for fluid status/ fluid tolerance using the IVC

Didactic Requirements

  1. Pre-Test
  2. Didactic Session (live or online)
  3. Post-Test
  4. Go the Extra Mile (available for additional understanding) – not required
